Fibromyalgia is a growing problem in our country. It is estimated that 10 million Americans suffer with this chronic illness every day, and the numbers keep growing at epidemic proportions. Unfortunately, most people can't even pronounce it, let alone understand it! We encourage you to look around our web site. You will learn more about Fibromyalgia and also about our support group. If you have any questions or wish to contact us, simply use the e-mail link at the bottom of each page.
We provide EDUCATION by handing out reading material, hosting speakers from the medical community at group meetings, and reaching out to the public to make everyone aware of Fibromyalgia. We ENCOURAGE each other through support group meetings, and communicating with each other through the tough times. We become EMPOWERED by learning about our illness, and how to take charge of our health.
If you live in the Finger Lakes area, we invite you to join us. You don't have to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. If you think you might have it, or a friend or relative has it, or you simply want to know more about our illness, we would love to have you join us. We meet monthly at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.
To receive more information, simply type your name, address, phone # (WITH area code) and e-mail address into the box below. Please remember that our group is located in The Finger Lakes Region of New York State (Cayuga, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Yates counties.) We are only able to send information to people who are within driving distance of Canandaigua, New York.
